A Company Website Has Many Benefits

Many large corporations have internal or company websites. These websites are generally designed to help employees feel a sense of community within the company. It can be used in many different ways to include introducing new employees and as a source of company information. These sites can also provide a way for employees to socialize and provide input to the company. If you are a smaller company looking to provide a company website for your employees, here is a quick look at the process.

The obvious step is to create the website either yourself if you have the skills or hire a professional. You may even have someone on staff who can help you create your site.

Explain the purpose of the site on the index or home page. You should change this home page regularly to maintain interest. Consider using it as an announcement page for employee of the month or some other announcement. Include information timely information such as tuition assistance for online college courses or other benefits.

New employees should be highlight on their own page. Use this to welcome new employees as well as introducing them to the current staff.

Include a company history page. This page can tell your employee’s the company’s story, provide backgrounds about the founders. It’s a great idea to include fun facts about the company.

Add a biography page from you as the owner, as well as your top-level management staff. It will add a personal touch.
